Tech Mahindra Partners with Tanzania based power utility firm, TANESCO

Tech Mahindra, on Tuesday, announced its partnership with Tanzania Electric Supply Company (TANESCO) for one of the biggest Utility Transformations deals. The firm will help the latter to increase operational efficiency, improve services quality, and enhance customer experience.

It is expected that the deal, aimed at enabling digital transformation for TANESCO, will support future-ready applications including Geo-Information System, IT Infra/Network. While improving agility and returns on investment through technology-led transformation.

As part of the collaboration, Tech Mahindra will focus on delivering greater flexibility across Digital IT operations, which includes modernizing core operations and internal applications to drive innovation and accelerate TANESCO’s digital transformation journey.

The Managing Director of TANESCO, Maharage Chande, calls the agreement with Tech Mahindra another step forward to deliver greater flexibility across Digital IT operations. Our collaboration with Tech Mahindra will ultimately help accelerate us providing best services to our Citizens.”

Tech Mahindra will play a part in the development of the ‘Design, Supply, Installation, Implementation, Training and Commissioning of Corporate Management System (CMS) and Supporting Infrastructure of the power utility firm. It will implement digital solutions such as SAP S4 Hana, SAP Billing, Esri GIS, Huawei Infrastructure, and new edge solutions such as Drones.
