The TVS Motor Company was the first Indian two-wheeler manufacturer to introduce this innovative addressing technique.

TVS Motor Company, a well-known global manufacturer of two- and three-wheelers, has announced the integration of what3words, a unique location technology, into its customer app TVS Connect. Users of TVS Connect can now share and go to any location with just three words. TVS Motor Company has become the first Indian two-wheeler manufacturer to offer this unique addressing method to its consumers, demonstrating its industry-leading dedication to a superior customer experience through technological prowess.

What3words is a basic tool for identifying precise places. It has divided the earth into a grid of 3-meter squares, each with its own set of three random words: a what3words address.For example, /routine.ballpoint.snares is the what3words address for TVS Motor Company’s specific entry in Chennai. Customers can use what3words to explore the world more quickly and meet friends and fellow riders in places lacking street addresses, such as picturesque roadside overlooks or community ride meeting points, by integrating what3words into the TVS Connect app.

“Navigation accuracy is a key part of our connected vehicle offering, and we were looking for innovative ways to enhance that riding experience for our customers. We are excited about our association with what3words, which does this by using 3-word addresses generated out of their precise location system as close as 3-metres to the location. This strengthens our commitment to increasing customer delight, especially in deeper country locations where traditional systems lean more to approximations. It will increase efficiency by offering a seamless riding experience integrated into our native riding app TVS Connect. We are excited to introduce these unique 3-word addresses for the customers of our TVS Apache brand and riding community. We will gradually be extended to customers using the TVS Connect app across brands in a phased manner,”

Addresses are frequently insufficiently exact to define particular places, such as building entrances, and do not exist for specific spots on roadways and in many rural areas across India. This makes it difficult to locate both places and individuals, and it makes deliveries more difficult. Customers in India will benefit from this relationship because it will make navigating easier, more convenient, and less time consuming. What’s more, what3words works offline, so consumers can rely on it to bring them exactly where they need to go, even if they are in a region with inadequate internet.
