Orbia’s Building & Infrastructure Business, Wavin joins hands with Vectus to Provide the Indian Market with access to Water and Sanitation Solutions
Wavin B.V., an Orbia company that specializes in building and infrastructure solutions, announced that it will purchase a majority position in Vectus Industries Limited, a privately-held manufacturer of plumbing and drainage pipes and India’s market leader in water storage tanks. , Owing to this joint venture, Orbia’s Building and Infrastructure operations will be at the forefront of India’s rapidly increasing water management market, servicing customers in the residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and agricultural sectors.

The transaction is projected to finalize in the first quarter of 2022 and it represents a significant strategic investment. Wavin’s product and regional footprints are expanding as Vectus continues to deliver plastic pipes and tanks to support the above- and below-ground building sectors, complementing Wavin’s comprehensive range of drinking water, wastewater, and rainfall management solutions.
Sustainable urban and semi-urban construction environments to efficient domestic plumbing systems are among the applications. It is expected that this partnership’s combined capabilities would enable it to play a vital role in the development of India’s tier II and III cities as well as sustained government investment in affordable housing.
