Wipro Limited, a leading worldwide information technology, consulting, and business process services company, announced today that it has been recognized as Top Employer in Australia for the third year in a row by the Top Employers Institute.

Being recognized as a Top Employer demonstrates a company’s commitment to a better world of work, which is shown through great HR policies and people practices.

The Top Employers Institute program certifies companies based on their HR Best Practices Survey participation and performance. The survey covers 20 topics in 6 HR domains, including people strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning, well-being, diversity and inclusion, and more. More than 1,857 Top Employers from 123 countries/regions on five continents have been certified and recognized under the program. Business & People Strategy, Organization Change, Performance, Learning, Digital HR, and Sustainability are just a few of the areas where Wipro has flourished.

“Reflecting on the demanding year that has, like the year before it, impacted organizations across the world, Wipro has continued to show that it prioritizes maintaining excellent people practices in the workplace. They continue to meet the challenges of the changing world of work while working tirelessly to make a positive impact on the lives of their workforce. We are pleased to celebrate and applaud the organizations that have been certified as Top Employers in their respective countries this year,”

David Plink, CEO, Top Employers Institute said.

“This prestigious certification is a testament to Wipro’s best-in-class people practices and our consistent effort to build an innovative and inclusive work environment in A/NZ, especially amidst the global pandemic. We continue to prioritize our employees’ well-being and professional development to align with the needs of our clients and our ambitions for growth in this region. I extend my congratulations to all our employees, clients, and partners who have made this journey possible for us,”

Sarah Adam-Gedge, Managing Director, Australia, and New Zealand, Wipro Limited said.

Wipro takes pride in creating a business culture that values and celebrates diversity. It has put forward a lot of effort to help women in the information and communications technology industry develop their skills and jobs. WoW Australia (Women of Wipro in Australia) promotes women’s empowerment and support through a variety of business and community-based events. Furthermore, the corporation has made significant investments in generational diversity by encouraging mid-career moves and developing talent through its graduate recruiting effort. Paid maternity leave, parental leave, a well-articulated career path for its employees, a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), volunteering opportunities, mentoring opportunities, and a well-articulated career path for its employees have all contributed to the development of strong local talent in Australia.

Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ) is one of Wipro’s APMEA (Asia Pacific, Middle East, India, and Africa) Strategic Market Unit’s six focus regions. Wipro has been operating in Australia and New Zealand for over two decades, serving clients in a variety of industries. Wipro also has a foothold in the region thanks to two acquisitions, Ampion, an Australian company that delivers local, highly specialized, and scalable engineering and cybersecurity solutions, and Designit, a strategic design firm that specializes in transformative product-service experiences.
