GE Renewable Energy Opens A New Renewable Hybrids Factory In India

Today, GE Renewable Energy announced the opening of a new Renewable Hybrids factory in Vallam, India, where 250 people are currently working.

This world-class facility that has been set up following the Lean principles of reducing waste and improving productivity is well suited to help respond to customers’ demand and strengthen GE’s place in the hybrids space”

The factory will produce the FLEXINVERTER and FLEXRESERVOIR products, as well as assist in their integration with GE’s recently introduced FLEXIQ offering, which is aimed to meet client needs through diverse applications to provide dispatchable, green MWhs.

The FLEXIQ* is a digital platform that enables grid compliance and maximizes lifetime client value by providing design, operation, and fleet management solutions. The FLEXRESERVOIR* is a system-integrated battery energy storage and power electronics solution that may be used in a variety of configurations and markets. The FLEXINVERTER is a containerized power conversion platform for utility-scale solar and storage applications that is dependable, cost-effective, plug-and-play, and factory-integrated.

The site is conveniently located near major highways, airports, and seaports. The factory will be able to fully produce and integrate systems on-site, reducing time spent on-site and assisting in the creation of more value for customers.
