Makers LabTM, Tech Mahindra’s research, and development arm, today announced the debut of a first-of-its-kind, ‘Meta Village,’ a digital twin of Pargaon, Maharashtra, to gamify learning on the Roblox platform. With the opening of the Meta Village, Tech Mahindra will strengthen its commitment to ‘Make in India’ by driving innovation in the education sector at the grassroots level.
Students will be able to use the Meta Village to study the fundamentals of computers and coding in Bharat MarkUp Language (BHAML), a platform created by Makers LabTM that allows anyone to code in their native language. Makers LabTM has already begun teaching youngsters the basics of computers and BHAML as part of Tech Mahindra’s effort to encourage technical education and skill development in rural areas by harnessing the power of technology.

This workshop will take place in the Roblox Pargaon Meta Village’s classroom. In Metaverse, Paragaon is the first Indian village to have a digital twin. Students would have access to Meta Village classrooms for both live and offline sessions.
