Tata Motors And Lithium Urban Technologies signs an MoU for one of the largest EV fleet deployment in India

Tata Motors on Monday announced a partnership with Lithium Urban Technologies, an EV-based urban transportation service provider founded by Mr. Sanjay Krishnan, to deploy 5000 XPRES T Electric Sedans across the country for employee transportation, with the goal of accelerating the transition to sustainable transportation. Tata Motors will begin deliveries in stages, with the deployment expected to be completed by next year.

Tata Motors created the ‘XPRES’ brand for fleet clients in July 2021, and the XPRES-T’ EV is the first car under this brand.

The new XPRES-T electric vehicle is available in two ranges: 213km and 165km (ARAI certified range under test conditions). It has a 21.5 kWh and 16.5 kWh high-energy density battery that can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 90 minutes and 110 minutes, respectively, utilising fast charging. It can also be charged conventionally from any 15 A plug point, which is readily available and handy. It has zero tailpipe emissions, a single-speed automatic transmission, dual airbags, and ABS with EBD as standard equipment on all models. It will stand out from other Tata cars because to its premium black theme interior, standard automatic climate control, and Electric Blue accents across the interior and exterior.
