Larsen & Toubro, Komatsu India, and Scania India put on a show at Excon 2021 to showcase their technological strengths and service capabilities, as well as reaffirm their strong commitment to sustainability.
The L&T Pavilion at CII Excon was inaugurated on Tuesday by Shri Basavaraj Bommai, Karnataka’s Chief Minister, and General V K Singh, India’s Minister of State for Road Transport, Highways, and Civil Aviation.
Komatsu PC205-10MO Hydraulic Excavator, Komatsu PC500LC-10R Hydraulic Excavator, Komatsu PC210LC-10M0 Super Long Front, and Komatsu GD535-6 Motor Grader – four new environmentally friendly, B20-biodiesel ready hydraulic excavators were launched on the occasion graced by a gathering of customers, finance partners, and company delegates to address the emerging needs and technology requirements.
Komatsu, Scania, and L&T are all focused on sustainable technology. All of these machines have been designed to run on B20 Biodiesel as part of our initiative to introduce sustainable technologies. When these machines run on alternative energy, they produce the same amount of power and productivity while saving fossil fuel and lowering greenhouse gas emissions.
These new models feature Komatsu’s cutting-edge technology and were designed specifically for use in India’s harsh conditions. Buyers have been enthralled by the new high-performance Hydraulic Excavators, which have been praised for introducing highly productive machines.
The show features 18 machines and eight special attachments from Komatsu, Scania, and L&T, making it one of the most comprehensive displays of Construction, Earthmoving, and Road Machinery. Movax, Rammer, Kemroc, Komatsu, and L&T also had Genuine Spares, Lubes, Sand Plants, Aggregate Crushing Plants, and Special Attachments on display. A new range of CEV-IV emission compliant Road Machinery manufactured by L&T has also been added to the display as part of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Initiative.
Komatsu machines are digitalized and come with KOMTRAX tracking systems, which allow users to keep track of equipment health and efficiency. Customers can experience the depth of Komtrax reports and understand their benefits in an audio-visual room at the stall.
Mr Y. Fujii, Managing Director, KIPL, Mr Johan Schlyter, Managing Director, Scania CV India Pvt. Ltd, and Mr Arvind K. Garg, Executive Vice-President & Head, Construction & Mining Machinery, L&T, have led the participation at the Excon show.
The CII’s “Women Building India- Special Initiative” award went to L&T’s Construction & Mining Machinery division. L&T is a strong supporter of women’s empowerment and has a diverse and inclusive workplace culture. Women have been trained and deployed at L&T workshops as part of the gender inclusiveness program, where they support machines operated by our customers and have broken into a male-dominated bastion.
