At Cisco Live, the leading networking and security event, Cisco announced the availability of AppDynamics Cloud. AppDynamics Cloud allows the creation of extraordinary digital experiences by massively correlating telemetry data from any cloud environment. It makes use of cloud-native observability to address application performance issues through business context and insights-driven actions.
To deliver the consistent, reliable digital experiences that consumers and end-users now demand, IT teams must monitor and manage a dynamic set of application dependencies across a mix of infrastructure, microservices, containers, and APIs using home-grown IT stacks, multiple clouds, SaaS services, and security solutions. Traditional monitoring approaches break down in this vastly complex and dynamic ecosystem.
The platform facilitates communication across teams such as DevOps, site reliability engineers (SREs), and other important business stakeholders to accomplish common goals such as service-level objectives (SLOs) and organizational KPIs. While many businesses continue to use conventional programs to handle mission-critical and revenue-generating systems, new business apps are increasingly being produced using DevOps efforts and must enable distributed architectures and services. This pandemic-accelerated tendency has sparked an end-to-end experience revolution among customers and end-users, with hybrid work adding exponential velocity.

“AppDynamics Cloud delivers power and usability in a single, intuitive interface. It puts the focus where it needs to be—on 360-degree visibility and insights, and the ability to take action that leads to extraordinary application experiences every time,”said Liz Centoni, EVP, Chief Strategy Officer, GM of Applications.
“Built from the ground up with cloud-native observability, AppDynamics Cloud is about real outcomes, so you can fix issues when they arise—or even before they happen—and ensure digital services offer exactly what users want,”said Centoni.
AppDynamics Cloud easily consumes the flood of metrics, events, logs, and traces (MELT) created in this environment—including network, databases, storage, containers, security, and cloud services—to understand the present condition of the whole IT stack to the end-user. Then, actions may be taken to reduce expenses, increase transaction revenue, and safeguard user and corporate data.
Current AppDynamics clients may upgrade to AppDynamics Cloud and utilize their existing application performance monitoring (APM) agents, or feed both platforms concurrently. Support for Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud-native, managed Kubernetes deployments, with a planned extension to Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and other cloud providers.
