L&T Technology Services Limited, a well-known international pure-play engineering services provider, opened its Engineering Design Centre (EDC) in Toulouse, France, to initially serve the needs of the aerospace and defence industries’ new-age digital needs.
The EDC will first concentrate on creating innovative solutions for the aerospace and defence sectors, and LTTS will collaborate with the region’s main OEMs as an engineering partner.
The center’s staff of LTTS engineers, who have demonstrated experience in digital engineering, systems engineering, and avionics design, will focus on end-to-end solutions for aerospace design and manufacture. Over 100 engineers will be hired by LTTS for the centre over the next two years.
LTTS intends to invest in and grow the new EDC, focusing on long-term next-generation solutions such as avionics systems and airline digital solutions for customer and operational excellence. To serve the home market, the centre will also foster engineering solutions in other fields, such as digital plant solutions and the production and distribution of hydrogen fuel.
Engineering Design Center is opened by L&T Technology Services in France.
“For over a decade, LTTS has supported global aerospace, defence and manufacturing companies with future-ready, cutting-edge digital and engineering technologies. This in-depth understanding of multiple domains makes LTTS a preferred engineering partner and has helped in building strategic alliances with global customers. The Engineering Centre at Toulouse, one of Europe’s primary Aerospace hubs, perfectly aligns with our goal of heralding a sustainable, greener future in France,”Amit Chadha, CEO and Managing Director, L&T Technology Services said.
Deepanshu Khurana, from the Embassy of India, Marie-Eve Rigollet, from Airbus, Véronique Canceill, LTTS, Amit Chadha, Invest in Toulouse, and Patrice Vassal are all visible in the photo taken at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
LTTS has been a key supplier to Airbus in India for over a decade, offering engineering services across verticals such as engineering, avionics, and digital, leading to its selection as a referenced Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Customer Service Engineering Supplier for Airbus. The relationship will now be expanded by LTTS to a significant geographic area like Toulouse, and the new facility will provide Airbus and its supply chain with end-to-end engineering services.
“As a global provider of engineering services, LTTS establishes itself in the Toulouse region with very strong commercial potential and the willingness to develop talented and highly qualified engineering teams. The new LTTS engineering center will participate in the creation of exciting new digital opportunities in the fields of avionics, urban air mobility and defence, and also contribute to strengthening the economic ecosystem of Toulouse and its region,”Thierry Sentous, Conseiller Municipal, Toulouse said.
Mr. Amit Chadha, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of LTTS, officially opened the EDC in the presence of illustrious clients and business titans.
The global offerings of LTTS include deep domain technical experience and tailor-made digital technologies that assist Aerospace OEMs and Tier 1s in meeting regulatory standards, increasing quality, and remaining competitive in a developing aviation market.
